9 Tips for shooting portrait(A)

- Using the appropriate focal length lens. For 35mm cameras, the best focal length for portrait shooting is 85 ~ 135mm such mid-focal lenses. Why? becasue the mid-focal lens can get a normal penetration portrait in a certain shooting distance, so it makes a foundation for good portrait painting. If you use wide-angle lens to shoot portraits, the shooting distance must be very close, thus causing perspective distortion, exaggerated characteristics of certain parts of the characters; If you use a telephoto lens to shoot portraits, the shooting distance should be farther, as the characteristics of the lens makes the photographed's perspective compressed. In most cases, the mid-focal lens can give a good shooting. Of course, taken with other lenses is also possible, but what here talking about is the majority occasions.
- Eliminate background interference. Background is the most important element in the Portrait shooting. A good background does only not influence appreciation of the subject , but also helps to paint a good portrait.There are many ways to deal with the background. Before shooting, it's better to view from the viewfinder. If the background is not good enough, when condition permits, you can convert a place or point of view, to avoid the bad background. But, if the condition does not allow, it is best to open the aperture of large lens , reducing the depth of field, as the background outside the focus, so they were all become a blur. Background processing is very important. it's better to develope a habit, check the image of the viewfinder before you press the shutter.
- Attention posture (Posing) If you stand like a wood in front of the lens ,the taken-out picture must be unsightly. the photographer should try to guide the photographed to be natural, relaxed. when necessary, also allows him / her show some unusual poses.
